Literacy DuPage Presentation

One of the non profits that Team B2B supports is Literacy DuPage, Tana Tatnall their Executive Director will come speak to Team B2B on Thursday March 7th 2013 at 7:30am-9:00am.

Come join us to learn more about their mission which is to provide accessible and customized tutoring in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English to help adults achieve independence. in the DuPage IL area.LiteracyDuPageLogo

About Tana; Executive Director of Literacy DuPage since 2007, serves on the Board of Directors for The DuPage Federation On Human Service Reform, member of grants funding committee for the Continuum of Care to End Homelessness and prior Chief Professional Office of United Way of DuPage, resident of DuPage County for over 20.

Literacy DuPage trains volunteer tutors to provide customized, learner-centered English language instruction. Tutoring occurs in one-on-one or small group settings at a mutually convenient time and location for both tutors and students. Materials and techniques are provided to allow the tutor to guide the learner toward achievement of personal goals. Tutors incorporate everyday materials such as a newspaper, map, or job application into their lessons.

In addition to tutoring, Literacy DuPage offers eleven English Conversation Groups to ESL students of all levels, at no charge. These are conducted in Addison, Bartlett, Bensenville, Bloomingdale, Carol Stream, Darien, Glen Ellyn, Lisle, Naperville, West Chicago, and Westmont.
